We have listed some of the High Performance results from the month of September, so take a look and see what your fellow HPSA’s have achieved!
- Jane Larkin released her 2nd Episode in the series “Running in Dresses” which tackles an array of issues for women in sport. This episode: Amy Morris, ‘University Sport Programs’. You can find her YouTube Channel HERE.


3. HPSA Brianna Orams (Bachelor of Environmental Science) placed 1st in the Stand Up Paddle during the Old Woman Island Paddle Competition. In addition, Jordan Mercer (Bachelor of Primary Education) placed 1st in the Ocean Ski and received top honours, finishing the challenging 18km course in a time of 1hr, 35min and 23 sec!
4. Triathletes Lucy Bowden and Meg Radcliffe competed in the 70.3 Ironman which was held in Mooloolaba in the beginning of the month!
5. Director of High Performance Sport, Professor Brendan Burkett was recently in Manchester for the World Paraswimming Championships which ran from the 9-15th of September. Brendan is Head Coach of the Australian Para Swim Team where USC Spartans swimmers were competing including Braedan Jason (Bachelor of Journalism), Katja Dedekind and Blake Cochrane (USC Alumni, Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science). Congratulations to Blake for placing 3rd!
6. The Sunshine Coast Lightning Netball Team placed 2nd in the Grand Final after a really good season!
